With everything going on in the world today, I can’t help but be feel extra grateful this Thanksgiving. I first saw the idea of a “Friendsgiving” while scrolling through my Pinterest feed a couple years ago and thought the idea was so sweet. Before the stress of the holidays arrive, what better way to celebrate what we have than with our closest friends?
When I host any type of get together (which rarely occurs without my own house), I try to create decor before purchasing anything new, and use what I already have. This Thankful sign made by the talented Reprize Designs has been hanging on my wall for awhile now and worked perfectly for this dinner! As for creating, if you’re like me and think $80+ is too much to spend on a floral garland, remember you always have the option to make your own (tutorial coming soon)! Jo-ann Fabrics has great options for faux greenery and endless choices for fabric to make your own cloth napkins.
When looking at these plates, would you think I purchased them at Good Will? I never think to go there until I’m out of options, but this time I was so happy I did. I also found these black taper candlestick holders for $1… Cha-ching.
I just recently discovered Basic Invite and instantly fell in love with their invitation options. Whether you’re hosting a Friendsgiving, birthday party, baby shower, wedding, etc., Basic Invite has unlimited options for literally EVERY occasion. It took me awhile to pick out my invite template as they have endless designs and 180+ colors to choose from.
Basic Invite has been in business since 2006 and offers services that set them apart from the rest. Their custom sample service allows customers the ability to order a printed sample of their actual invitation before they have to place their final order. This is great for those who like to physically see/touch their invites before spending money on a larger quantity. And yes, I said touch. Basic Invite gives you several paper options for your invitations, such as smooth coated, signature matte and luxe velvet. I chose luxe velvet for mine and loved the quality feel it gave to the invitation.
Other Basic Invite pros:
Over 40 different colors of envelopes
Customers have the option to choose over 40 different colors when it comes to their envelopes so that they can make their invitation stand out even before it’s opened.
Address Capturing Service
Basic Invite offers an address capturing service that allows customers to simply share a link on any form of social media to request their friends and family’s addresses which will be stored in the customer’s account and can then be selected during the design process.
Foil
Customers can choose flat or raised foil on all of Basic Invite’s foil designs.
It’s the perfect time to start ordering holiday cards + Christmas cards (over 400 designs available).
The best part? Right now Basic Invite is offering 30% off with coupon code: “holi30” !!
How will you be celebrating Friendsgiving this year?
