I’m so fortunate to live in a place where summers are this beautiful. Labor Day Weekend was spent drinking wine with my girls and celebrating our Natasha’s 26th birthday. Us four have been very close for the last 7 years and although each of us are at completely different points in our lives, we still never fail to reunite whenever possible while sharing a bottle of wine and lots of laughs!
I’m sure you saw a few posts ago that we had a backyard dinner party this day and later took a ride out to Northern Sun Winery in Bark River. If you live remotely close to the Upper Peninsula, this place is a must see! For $5 you can experience a great glass of wine, five acres of beautiful vineyards and amazing customer service. Even though the winery was closed for Labor Day, the sweet owners still offered to open for us.
One thing I’ve learned these past few years, is that meaningful friendships stay strong when life gets in the way. Whether it’s getting married, starting a family, furthering our degree, or even moving across the country – we’ve all changed through personal experiences, yet when we’re together, it’s like we never separated at all. And for that, I am so fortunate to have these girls and a few others in my life.
We all chose to wear white and couldn’t have picked a better place to take photos. It was so much fun walking the vineyards while having Emma Tembreull take these beautiful pictures! Thank you, Emma!
I’m so happy I got to spend Labor Day with some of my favorite girls. Thank you for the endless laughs and cherished memories.
XO
