A few of us made the drive out to Hall Farms in Rock last Friday, excited to get pictures of this beautiful sunflower field that has recently been a hit in our community. This field has been around for seven years, and actually made the local news a couple weeks ago as the owners decided to open it for the first time this summer. Once we arrived, it was so obvious why this place has brought so many people to the area. I’ve never seen more sunflowers in all my life!
It was so nice spending a Friday night visiting a place like this, and remembering how lucky I am to be living where I do. I always tell myself that I should be living in a city in my twenties and experiencing the hustle and bustle while I can. And then I see a place like this and think, how many people get to spend their Friday evenings here? It was such a fresh change of scenery and I loved it.
I’m not sure how it’s already September, but this summer has flown by as it always does. One of my goals this season is to try and appreciate what’s happening in my world now, instead of constantly planning for tomorrow. I’m so fortunate that my closest friends and I are all currently living back in town, only miles away from each other when only a year ago, a few of them lived downstate and across the country. Even though we are constantly busy and on the go, it’s wonderful having nights like this every now and then, enjoying these moments together.

I talked about this top (currently 30% off!) in my last post as a great piece to transition into fall with. I love how light it is! I also wore these AE Denim X Super High-Rise Jeggings that I have in two other colors. I usually stay away from the jegging fit, just because they can sometimes look like leggings, but this is not the case with these – they are my favorite! They are high waisted, comfortable, and have such a flattering fit.
Happy Labor Day weekend! XO
