If you’re currently in Michigan, you’d probably agree that it’s been crazy hot here for the month of June. And, if you’re in the Upper Peninsula, you’d also probably agree that we need to take advantage of the sunshine before our next snow fall. 😉
Is anyone else inspired by this beautiful weather to try a new summer cocktail recipe?
I had my first Mojito on vacation in the Bahamas a few years ago (because where else would I try my first Mojito?) and I’ll never forget that first refreshing taste of mint. How I had never had a Mojito before then, I have no idea. But let me tell ya, it’s been one of my favorite cocktails ever since!
Although classic and strawberry are my two favorite kind of Mojitos, I wanted to come up with something different that included a little bit of everything. The more the merrier, right?
So instead of classic or strawberry, this time we’re having…..
WILD BERRY MOJITOS!
This is why I love coming up with new cocktail recipes. You try something you love, then think of ways to change it up or make it better. I LOVE fruit in my drinks, so why not add more?
I reached out to Emma Tembreull and asked if she could put her beautiful photography skills to use while I made this new recipe. We decided to shoot in the beautiful Clubhouse at The Trestle Building located in Marquette. Is there really anything better than making Mojitos in a beautiful Airbnb overlooking Lake Superior?
….Nope.
If you like fruit and mint in your Mojitos, you’ll LOVE this recipe. If you aren’t sure of the fruit and overload of mint sprigs, cut down the measurements a tad and you’ll still probably love it! 😉
When you make this batch for your next get together, soak the mint and lime juice together the night before for best results. Serve by the pitcher (or mason jar ;)) on a hot summer day. It won’t disappoint, trust me!

Well this looks delicious! I might need a little bit more than a pitcher though… 😉
