Lately when I browse on Pinterest, I constantly find myself looking at food photography. I’m not sure why, I just LOVE seeing how creative people get with the food and cocktails they make. Who knew drinks could be so pretty? This weekend I was inspired to make a fun sangria recipe that worked for the upcoming holidays. If you’re looking for a new drink to serve at your next holiday party, give this one a go! You’ll love it.
For this recipe I decided to incorporate darker fruit and rosemary to make this drink work for the winter season. Sangria is so easy to make because you can incorporate any fruit that works for you and the season. I’ve seen a ton of holiday recipes that have cherries as well. I may try adding those next time!
Yield: Roughly 4 glasses
Ingredients:
- 1 bottle of bubbly
- 1 bottle of red wine (I used Francis Coppola Cabernet)
- 1 navel orange
- 1 apple
- handful of blackberries
- 1 pomegranate
- 2 cups of sparkling water
- Rosemary sprigs (optional)
Directions:
Slice the fruit and place into a large pitcher or serving bowl. Follow with adding the bottle of bubbly, wine and sparkling water. It’s best to let the fruit soak as long as possible before drinking it. After letting it soak, pour yourself a glass with ice and garnish with a sprig of rosemary! So easy right?
Enjoy!
