So I had my first moscow mule only two weeks ago and WOW have I been missing out! After trying this ‘new’ drink, I had to find a good recipe to try myself. I could go on and on why I love this cocktail, but the main reason is, I love that it suits any season, holiday, or party with the diverse ingredients you can add. I made a last minute decision to make these today, and It took me a quick trip to the store and a few minutes to prep my ingredients and throw these together. Also note: As for the most part, the ingredients are pretty affordable. Rosemary isn’t too cheap, but it’s also completely optional in this drink! Feel free to play around with the measurements as you like and you’ll most likely get a good turn out regardless.

Although it’s tradition to put this cocktail in a copper mug, mine are totally fake (copper mugs are pretty expensive in my opinion). I saw these mugs while getting my ingredients at Walmart and couldn’t pass them up! They may be $7 cheap, but they still manage to give you the moscow mule feel without breaking the bank.
As for the ginger beer, I used Hard Ginger Ale, by Coney Island Brewing Co. Many people prefer the beer over hard ale, however, it still tasted great! It’s really whatever you prefer.
Ingredients (per one drink):
1 shot of vodka
3 ounces of grapefruit juice
1 lime slice
1 grapefruit slice
3 ounces of ginger beer (or hard ale)
1 sprig of fresh rosemary (optional)
Directions:
After prepping your ingredients, fill your mug up with ice. Squeeze your lime into the mug and throw the slice on top of the ice. Add your vodka, grapefruit juice and ginger beer. Finish with a sprig of rosemary and slice of grapefruit on top!
Cheers!
